Each home has its own distinguishing features and facilities including guest rooms, a hair salon, a greenhouse where residents grow vegetables and cosy living areas.

Our ground-breaking Dementia Care Home opened in 2016 which is based on the ‘Butterfly Household Model of Care’ with the environment designed for small household living which creates a homely atmosphere. The design of the home also provides a sense of freedom and security in the garden areas where residents can access easily without restriction. We feel this is the best care home environment to support those with dementia.
Eothen’ s care focuses on ‘feelings’ and person-centred care where routines are relaxed and staff are free to sit and chat to residents. Our staff do not wear name badges or uniforms and work within the same household, sharing chores and meals with the residents which helps staff build close relationships, getting to know individual personalities, life history and specific needs.
Our staff are fully trained to identify wellbeing and when residents are not quite themselves, and to understand the ‘emotions’ of residents who may find it difficult to express their needs or communicate. Often, holding hands and a cuddle is all that is needed.
